Ilario Nicoletta Sr., 85, of Farmingdale, passed away on Tuesday January 14th.
Ilario was born in Calabria, Italy, and immigrated to Montréal, Canada at the age of 18. He would marry the love of his life, Filomena, in 1967 and 10 days after the marriage they moved to Brooklyn, NY. Ilario would had opened up his own Mechanic shop that worked on cars, sold cars and gas. He would work there until his retirement at age 62.
Ilario enjoyed Atlantic City, watching the SSC Napoli, and vacation but the most important thing to him was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Ilario is predeceased by his sibling Catarina Squillace, Aldo Nicoletta and Ceaser Nicoletta.
Ilario is survived by his wife of 57 years Filomena Nicoletta; his children Vincenzo Nicoletta and his wife Anna, Dino Nicoletta and his wife January, Ilario Nicoletta Jr. and his wife Carolyn and Marianna Gentile and her husband Louis; his siblings Thersea Raschella and Antonio Nicoletta; and his beloved grandchildren Victoria, Amanda, Ilario III, Ilario IV, Isabella, Louis, Dino, and Lilianna.
The visitation will be Sunday, January 19th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, January 20th at 10:00 Am at St. Mary’s RC Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. An entombment will follow at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery.
