Irene Triandafellos 81, of Manalapan passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at her home. Born in East Orange, Irene lived in Manalapan. She raised her family in Livingston where she was a homemaker and medical technician for Drs. Leen and Spidel. Mrs. Triandafellos was a member of Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church in Holmdel as well as the Philoptochos Society. Irene was predeceased by her husband James Triandafellos in 2003. Surviving are her children Dean Triandafellos and his wife Staci, and Marya Triandafellos and her partner Lena Rodriguez, brother Michael Carousis, sister Mary Pappas, and 2 grandchildren Michael and Stephen Triandafellos. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A funeral service will be offered Thursday 11:00AM at Kimisis Tis Theotokou G.O. Church 20 Hillcrest Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Kimisis Tis Theotokou G.O. Church, or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148

Irene was my neighbor and my friend. We shared"girl talk" at lunch on several occasions. She was a lovely woman who walked through this life with grace and passion caring for all she knew and loved. She will be missed!
