James Cleffi, 89 a lifelong resident Long Branch passed away Sunday, September 23rd at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mr. Cleffi was a Printer retiring from Ft. Monmouth. He served his Country in the US Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was devoted Parishioner of Holy Trinity RC Church, Christ the King Parish, Long Branch, where he was a member and Past President, of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Long Branch Knights of Columbus Council, and the Long Branch Old Guard. He was an avid New York Yankee's fan. He was affectionately known as Uncle Jimmy at his Nephew's store, Skip Sports in West End. Mr. Cleffi was pre-deceased by his wife, Delia Rego Cleffi in 1995. Surviving is a nephew and his wife, James 'Skip' and Jo Longenberger, Long Branch; great nephew, James Longenberger, Long Branch; great niece and her husband, Dina and Julio Tellechea, Long Branch; great great niece, Reanna; he also leaves behind many other loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday Sept. 26th , 6 to 9 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 27th, 10 am, Holy Trinity RC Church, Long Branch. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
