James Michael “Jimmy” Saturno, 73, of Holmdel, passed away surrounded by his loved oneson Saturday, August 22.
Jimmy was born and raised in Elizabeth to the late Florence and James Saturno. Upon graduating from Jefferson High School, he attended night classes at Fairleigh Dickinson University, receiving his bachelor’s degree in accounting. After receiving his degree, he worked as a public accountant for Suplee Clooney and Co, then for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital (now Trinitas) and Rahway Hospital. Jimmy later started Saturno & Son Landscaping with his son Nicholas, where he continued to work after retiring from accounting. He and his wife Ana raised their family in Holmdel where they have resided since moving from Rahway.
Jimmy had a deep love for animals and enjoyed caring for the family pets. He enjoyed playing and watching basketball and baseball, he especially loved rooting for the Yankees and the Knicks when they played. He enjoyed healthy meals and exercised daily. Most of all, Jim loved spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents, and his step-father Joseph Biraghi.
Surviving is his loving wife of 41 years, Ana Saturno, and their son, Nicholas and his wife Colleen Saturno of Holmdel, and his step-sister Toni Biraghi.
