James R. Kennon, Jr., passed away peacefully early Monday morning December 5th in Saddle River NJ at Villa Marie Claire Hospice. James was born in Newark, NJ. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army as a paramedic and was also a National Guard volunteer and a respected member of the Asbury Park Elks Lodge in the 90's. There was not a University of Miami football game he would miss “Go Canesâ€. He had a passion for music like nobody else. James loved summers at the beach down the Jersey shore with Janet in Mantoloking and holiday trips to Miami Beach. He also loved a fresh, cold mango; he loved his mangoes. Very strong and loved by all, he will be missed dearly. Surviving is his son, James R. Miami Florida; his loving life partner of 23 years Janet Gioffre, Hackensack; his first childhood friend Edward Ryan, Lakewood and his niece and nephews, Jackie, James and Pauly.
