Joanne “Jody” Schulz, 90, of Little Silver, died at Riverview Medical Center on Sunday, December 26th.
Jody was a parishioner of St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. She was born in Akron, Ohio. Jody met Adolph “Dolph” Schulz there, married, and moved to Long Branch, New Jersey. They settled in Oceanport before moving to Little Silver 38 years ago.
Jody and her husband, Dolph, were Deal Golf and Country Club members, and she was an active member of the Ladies 9-holers. She enjoyed trips to the theatre and dining in New York City with her friends.
Christmas was her favorite holiday, always having her home beautifully decorated for her family. Jody enjoyed many trips with her husband, kids, and grandchildren to Duck Key, Florida, making many lasting memories.
Her husband predeceased her in 1999, as did her sister, Rosemary Zurzola.
Surviving are her sons and their wives, Chip and Maria Schulz, Bronxville, NY, and Jim and Debbie Schulz, Marathon, Fl; her sisters, Bernadine Warzinski and Sally Alleman; four grandchildren, Eric and his wife Kelly Schulz, Jake Schulz, Maxwell Schulz and Alexandra Schulz as well as Jody’s great-grandchildren, Parker and Colton.
A private Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, followed by the interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
