John A. Schroeder, 84, of Middletown passed away on Friday, March 21. Born in Elizabeth New Jersey, John attended Carteret High School and studied at the Steven’s Institute and Fairleigh Dickinson University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Mathematics.
John was honorably discharged from the U.S. Airforce where he served from 1963 to 1970. He was a computer analyst for over 30 years working for various employers before becoming self-employed. A devout Catholic, he was a communicant of St. Catharine’s parish in Holmdel, where he was an usher and a member of St. Andrew’s Men’s Ministry.
He was predeceased by his parents and loving and devoted spouse Donata Schroeder.
He is survived by his son Kyle Schroeder, and his companion Yasmin Russell of Michigan, grandchildren Arthur, Ava, and Christopher Russell of Michigan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 31 at 11:00AM at the Parish of St. Mary, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery, Wrightstown.
