My best family memories include Uncle John. He was bigger than life and we loved him for his jovial nature and never-ending supply of energy. It always delighted our family to know how many lives he touched and it saddens me that he is gone forever, but he will live in my heart forever. Heaven is a better place with you Uncle John. I'll miss you. With love...

My deceased hubby, Jack, a teacher at Shore Regional had many a good laughs and, my guess, many a good discussion with John. Jean, I am so happy you had so many years with John.

Mr. John Kolibas was my former 8th grade Homeroom teacher in LB. He later became my boss as principal at SRHS from 1965-1980. John may have stepped down as superintendent in 1979... I do not recall. I have a lot of fond memories of him. He always wore OLD SPICE shaving lotion in 1955.John was a helluva swell guy, a very fair one. God bless him. Mr Kilibas was my ninth grade teacher. I loved his class so much. He made it so interesting. He was a teddy bear, but didn't want anyone to know. I saw that side of him. I am blessed to have had such a wonderful teacher. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

My deepest condolences to the Kolibas family. I was a student of Mr. Kolibas' and graduated from Long Branch High School in 1959. I will never forget his quick and very contagious laugh. He was a wonderful teacher and an even more wonderful friend to his students.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I remember John as not only a friend, but as a fellow firefighter in WLB and also as my ninth grade World history teacher at Long Branch H.S. I have wonderful memories of his classes and how much I learned from his teaching. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
