Dear Cousin Mary and family, We will never forget the fun and laughter we had with you and John on our visits to 50 Line Rd. We will miss him greatly and our thoughts are with you at this sad time. Rose, Denny, Chrissie, Hughie, Peggie and Pat.
Mrs. Halleck, I was very sad to hear the news of Mr. H's passing. You were both wonderful friends of my parents and Mr. Halleck's interest in my life and career is something I'll always remember. We shared the same 'hobby' with video cameras, and of course now I make a living with it. Kim and I treasure the wedding video that he and Jack Laffey did for us. My Dad was so thrilled to know that those 2 characters were busy taking the pictures... The best part is when they wrestled the cart up the stairs of the church in Manasquan, with the tape still running and you can hear the conversation between the 2 of them as they struggled. It really became a keepsake for us for the past 21 1/2 years. I'm very sorry to not be with you all at this time. Pat & Kim Gilligan Stratford, NJ
I invited John, when I was Chairman, several years ago to join Holmdel's Shade Tree Committee. He was an active participant who brought his experience and talent to the development sites we reviewed. His legacy lives in all the trees and plants that for years to come will spread their leaves towards heaven.
Dear Mrs. Halleck: I work for the Holmdel Planning Board and have enjoyed many funny and interesting conversations with John. I will miss our visits and his wonderful, smiling face. God Bless. Bonnie Imposimato
Dear Aunt Mary, Margaretann, Ann Marie, Casey, Ken, Jim, & the grandkids, We are so sad to here of Uncle Johnnies passing. We all have such great memories of Uncle John. From stories he would tell us in the woods when we were kids to the videos and the pictures that he would send us. What a great guy! We will miss him dearly. What I would'nt give to see "Uncle Johnnies Irish Dance" one more time.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Friends & Family, I was deeply distressed to hear about John passing away. I lost my Mom just a few weeks back. John was a vibrant member of the Holmdel Community as indicated in his obituary. He was always willing to help out, and I'll always remember him as a champion of the environment and designer of the Veterans Memorial planned for Phillips/Veterans Park (which I hope the town moves forward on to honor his memory). You should be very proud of the contributions John made to Holmdel. We will miss him terribly, and we grieve with you. -- Tony Orsini Holmdel Democratic Chairman Township Committeeman 2002-2005 (H) 732-671-0263 (C) 908-670-2453
