John T. Scott, 70, of Old Bridge passed away on Saturday, Sept 8th, at his home.
John was born in Jersey City and was in the first graduating class of North Bergen High School, where he was an accomplished member of the gymnastics team. He served as a civil engineer in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He received a degree from the Edward Williams College at Fairleigh Dickinson University. John had a long career working for Hudson County. He retired as the Finance Director for the Hudson County Schools of Technology Career Development Center. He loved fishing and enjoyed fishing trips to Cape Hatteras with his brother. When he wasn’t fishing, he loved to golf and especially enjoyed his trips to Myrtle Beach, SC, with a group of old and new friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Eugenie Scott; and his brother, James K. Scott.
John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathleen Scott; his daughter, Suzanne Scott and her husband Michael Trucillo of Colts Neck; and his grandson, Michael Liam Trucillo.

I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out".
