Josefina (“Josie”) Coston, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, passed away on June 10, 2026.  Josie was a long-time resident of Long Branch, New Jersey.  She settled there in 1969.  Josie was the devoted companion of her late husband, Ira G. Coston, whom she will join in eternal rest at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville, New Jersey.

She was born in the Philippines and travelled extensively with Ira while he was in the Army.  Josie loved seeing the world.  She carried with her throughout her life the warmth, faith and resilience of her heritage, and she shared those gifts freely with everyone around her.  An active and faithful Christian, her faith was a cornerstone of her daily life and a source of great comfort to her family.  She built a life defined by love, hospitality, and deep community ties.

Josie is survived by her four children: Eddy Coston (pre-deceased by her husband Glenn Allen); Leah Curbello and her husband, Chicky; Ira Glenn Coston Jr and wife Sri; Josefina (“Dinky”) Coston-O’Brien and her husband Sean.  She was a cherished grandmother to Aaron Curbello, Ira Coston III, Leah Ellerbe, Charlie O’Brien, Coston O’Brien, Jackson O’Brien and Sean Holly O’Brien.  She has three great grandchildren: Ira IV, Imeera and Mia.

We will carry her lessons, her laughter and her love forward.

Visitation for Josefina will be Monday, June 22, 2026; 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 am at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch, NJ. Burial will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
