I had the privilege of working with Joe at Bell Labs, and I always found him to be an intelligent, kind, and genuinely helpful colleague. He was a pleasure to work with, and I have many fond memories of our time together. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.

We will treasure our time spent with Joe. A wonderful sweetheart of a man who loved his family more than anything. And will especially treasure our time this summer with family at the beach. 🏖️. His legacy will carry on in the great children whom he helped raise.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Joe and I traveled to Pearl Harbor together years ago. On the flight there, we spoke with the boxer, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, for a few hours. Both are gone now. My condolences to Linda, who was so teary when we boarded the flight that day. I told her I would take care of Joe. I thought of Joe many times over the years. We all have our final fight. Joining them soon I suspect.
