Joseph L Prikazsky, 70, passed away on Saturday, May 6th, 2023. Joe was nothing short of an incredible and genuine man, loved by everybody who met him. He was a special light in this world taken too soon.
Joe was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1953 to Blanka and Cyril Prikazsky. At the age of nine, his family immigrated to Chicago, where he was raised alongside his four siblings. He graduated from Saint Ignatius College Prep School, and later graduated from John Carroll University before finally earning his MBA at New York University. Joe married the love of his life, Linda, in 1980. They started their life in Long Island before moving to Tenafly, NJ to raise their family. They later moved to Ocean, NJ, where they have lived for the past two years.
Joe was very outgoing and active – he enjoyed pickle ball, tennis, kayaking, skiing, and biking on the boardwalk. He was a devoted soccer coach to his children and later in life, a soccer referee, where he was loved by all who worked with him. Joe and Linda loved spending summer days on the beach and traveling throughout the world, including to Puerto Rico, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Argentina. Joe was someone you could trust. He was genuine, helpful, and incredibly supportive of all his friends and family. His generosity with his time and skills was unending.
Joe’s greatest moments were those spent with his family. His love for his grandchildren was contagious as he was happiest playing an active role in their lives. They brought him so much joy and fulfillment. He will be remembered as a family man and a loyal friend, always willing to lend a helping hand, and always with a smile on his face.
Joe is survived by his wife of 43 years and soulmate, Linda Vélez-Prikazsky, his son, Jos and daughter in law, Olivia Feldman of Rye, NY, his daughter Bianca and son in law Mark Goldstein of Closter, NJ, and his four beloved grandchildren Willa, Julian, Adrian, and Sebastian.
