Julian S. Mannino, 76, of Lincroft, passed away Thursday April 13, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Julian was born and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Julian graduated from New Utrecht High School and would further his studies at Brooklyn College, graduating with a Bachelors of the Arts degree and later a Master’s Degree from the College of Staten Island. Following college, he enlisted in the United States Army during Vietnam and would serve seven years for his country. He would then go on to marry the love of his life, Rosemary, on August 1st, 1971, and settled in Staten Island to raise their young family, eventually moving to Lincroft in 2015 to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
Julian loved all things food, he enjoyed gardening in his backyard, bike rides, racquet ball and especially spending time with his family. Neighbors would often see Julian gardening with his trusty AM radio on which he loved to listen to all of his favorite talk radio programs. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and other special occasions with them. Julian was a man of faith, always attending church every week with Rosemary.
Julian is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Rosemary Mannino of Lincroft; his children Michael Mannino and wife Eileen of Lincroft, Christian Mannino and his wife Candice of Westport CT; his sister Linda Kelly and her husband Robert; his beloved grandchildren Taylor, Michael, Brendan, Katherine, Julia, Andrew, and Thomas. He will be greatly missed by his brothers-in-law and sisters- in- law, including many nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be offered Friday, April 21, 2023, at 10:15AM at St. Leo the Great RC Church, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft.
