June Chirichella, 83 of Holmdel, died on Sunday, December 1st at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.

June was raised in Maplewood, NJ. She graduated from St. Elizabeth’s College. Following graduation she taught Home Economics at Summit High School. June retired from teaching to raise her children.

She had a passion for gardening around her home, and her gardens were enjoyed by all. She was a wonderful cook and a voracious reader of current world affairs. As the times changed, June adapted and became a huge fan of YouTube. June was a strong advocate for the MaryKnoll Sisters and St. Josephs Indian School. June was a parishioner of the Church of St. Catharine, Holmdel.

June leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry Chirichella; their children, Lisa Chirichella, Cromwell, CT and John Chirichella and his wife Robin, Doylestown, PA; two grandchildren, Mia and Kira.

Visitation Friday, December 7th, 4 to 8 pm, at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, December 8th, 10:30 am, Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations in memory of June may be made to MaryKnoll Sisters, maryknollsisters.org or St. Joseph’s Indian School, www.stjo.org.
