Kathleen A. Risden, 54 of Jackson, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, she was a 1976 graduate of Long Branch High School, and worked as a bookkeeper in the area throughout most of her life. Kathy was an avid reader, appreciated music, loved her dog Kiki and enjoyed spending time and making memories with friends and family. She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents Garrett and Minnie Corson and her father Richard J. Risden. She will be deeply missed by her son Christopher G. Hernandez of West Palm Beach, Fla, her mother Marilyn J. Risden and companion Micheal Resta, Lincroft, her sisters Patricia Bouthillier(Michael) of Middletown, Mary E. Risden of Shark River, Barbara J. Miller (Douglas) of Kresegeville, Pa, nephews Justin D. Clark, Cade E, Miller, and many, many wonderful friends who's lives she has touched along the way. Words of Remembrance will be Friday, March 30, 2012, 7:00 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. When I was very young Kathy was my guardian angel for a period of time in my life. A God send. As far back as I could remember Kathy would come over and babysit me even after realizing I was the baddest little baby living in LB. But when my mother needed a baby sitter, and no one else wanted the responsibility, Kathy was there...To this day, I don't know why or even how she put up with me, but she did. Not many people competed for her position as my baby sitter. And that's saying alot. I should be so lucky. As I look back at how she touched my life so many years ago, it saddens me today that she is no longer with us. My gaurdian angel. Taken from us far too soon. I will miss her dearly...
