Kathleen Tocci, 76, Monmouth Beach, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18th at Monmouth Medical Center.

Born Kathleen Ann McDonnell, daughter of the late Dr. & Mrs. George McDonnell of Freehold, on June 22, 1942. She was the oldest of 14 children. Kathleen graduated from Freehold High School in 1960 and attended Georgetown Visitation. After graduation, Kathleen married Louis J. Tocci, Jr. in 1965. They resided in Monmouth Beach, where they raised their children.

A parishioner of the Church of the Precious Blood since 1965, Kathleen was recently active in the women’s prayer group. Kathleen was very devoted to her religion and adored her church family. She was very proud of her Irish heritage.

Kathleen was predeceased by her sister Maureen Tierney and her brother Patrick McDonnell.

Surviving is her husband Lou; her son Louis, III and his wife Allison, their children Ella & Lauren; her daughter Kathryn Gerst and her husband Shawn; their children Brady & Shea; her siblings Franceen Morris & her husband Jim, Arlene Whitley & her husband Ben, Janine Lozano, Christine McDonnell, Geraldine Guyote & her husband Marty, George McDonnell & his wife Betty, Bernadine Raimondi & her husband Joe, Justine LePino & her husband Ken, Terrance McDonnell, Peter McDonnell & his wife Marva and Kelly Varano & her husband Russell and over 20 nieces and nephew whom she loved dearly.

Mass of Christian burial Friday, October 26th 10:00 am at Church of the Precious Blood, 72 Riverdale Avenue, Monmouth Beach.
