Krista Marie Morello passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024. A lifetime resident of Holmdel New Jersey, Krista was an avid athlete who excelled in soccer, field hockey, ice hockey and lacrosse.

After finishing high school, Krista attended John Jay College for two years before enlisting in the US Air Force in 2013. Krista served as a Munitions Specialist at Eglin Air Base in Florida, Osan Air Base South Korea, and Camp Darby in Livorno Italy during her 10-year career, while finishing her BS degree in Mathematics at Southern New Hampshire University.

Krista retired to Naples Florida, where she was embraced by the community of Veronawalk while learning to play pickleball.

She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and infectious enthusiasm. Always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, her greatest attribute and an important part of who she was, was her unmistakable love of her family.

We love you to the moon and back honey…today and forever…..

Visitation will be Friday November 8th, 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. Mass of Christian burial Saturday November 9th at 10:30 am, Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, NJ. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Krista’s memory to the Humane Society of Naples, hsnaples.org or the Wounded Warrior Project, woundedwarriorproject.org.

Krista was such a special lady. She regularly babysat my children during her teen years and they always looked so forward to her visits. It was comforting to know that she was so responsible and that the kids were happy when I was out. What a kind heart and a beautiful soul. She will be missed and I send my deepest sympathy to her family.

Dear AnneMarie and family, I am so truly sorry to hear about this great loss. May the good memories you have of Krista, and her love, forever be present within your hearts. Love never dies and that love will live on with you eternally. You are in my prayers.

Our deepest condolences to Krista’s family and friends. She was our neighbor at Osan in 2019/2020 and became a friend throughout our time there. Krista was my childhood babysitter who lived just a couple houses down the street. I looked forward to the nights my parents when out because that meant we got to hangout with Krista all night. She brought us the best activities and games - it was so thoughtful of her. She was a huge part of my childhood and even after I grew up I loved staying connected with her on social media. She was an incredibly kind and caring individual and I will always cherish my memories with her. Wishing my sincere condolences to the Morello family.
