Lewis was an exceptional stagehand with his regard to specifically the Harvey Theater at BAM. He valiantly protected and serviced the artists we were working with while maintaining his colleagueship with his fellow stagehands. He walked a very sensitive line heroically. I have the greatest respect for the man and his professional work.
Thomas Paulucci left a message on April 28, 2020:
Please accept my sincere condolences as my heart goes out for your loss. Lewie was a good stagehand and he was a lot fun when working onstage too. He will be missed by all.
Alice Bernstein left a message on April 28, 2020:
I always enjoyed knowing how happy Lew was when he actually got to be on stage during performances at BAM - even when he grumped about it! May his memory live on as a blessing to all who loved and grieve him.
Rebecca Zuber left a message on April 28, 2020:
My heart goes out to Lew's family. I worked with Lew at the Harvey Theater when I was shifting gears into production management. He gave me a really hard time (that's an understatement!) but he really helped me grow into my new career. He was also a loyal friend, although he did blame this Iowa girl for the infestation of Iowa digger wasps in his backyard. :-)
Mike Panayos left a message on April 28, 2020:
Lewis holds a special place in my working life. My memories are all happy, we laughed, told great stories, and side by side we had new experiences that would become future stories. My wife Judy, whom I met at BAM, also has the best of memories, especially when he gave us his "blessing." He couldn't attend our wedding but was at our child's Christening which is even more heart warming to us. His can-do attitude and work ethic was known internationally. Companies would arrive and say. "So you're the Lewis Resnick? We've heard so much about you from other shows." "Nothing good, I hope." he'd say, "I don't want my reputation ruined." "No, they loved you," was the reply. "Okay, I'll have to make sure there's no doubt with you guys!" He was put into positions of authority and leadership because he got the job done. Trust. That is the highest honor one can bestow. You've done well in your work life and home life. Your family is beautiful. Rest in peace my brother.

I had the pleasure to work with Lew for 6 years while he was the business manager of local 4. He was wonderful person, and a good union man. He perhaps, missed he calling be a stagehand, as he single-handedly redesigned the local's office into a "real" and "professional" work space. May you rest in peace my friend.❤️
