Linda Rossy, age 80 passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, in Holmdel, New Jersey. Born on October 24,1944, in Hoboken, New Jersey, she lived a vibrant and faith-filled life that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Demarest High School in Hoboken, Linda carried the values of her upbringing throughout her life- Generosity, strength, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. She was a devout Catholic whose spiritual foundation guided her through life’s many challenges and joys.
Linda was known affectionately as “Ditzy” or simply as everyone’s “Aunt Linda”; those terms of endearment captured her spirited personality and infectious sense of humor. She was the life of the party- always ready with a laugh, a story, a side eye followed by a wiseass reply, or one of her FAMOUS Cream Puffs. Her kitchen was often filled with the sweet aroma of baked goods, as baking brought her immense joy. Whether she was crafting something beautiful by hand or cheering on her favorite football team, Linda embraced every moment with enthusiasm.
She found serenity at the beach and even joy in cleaning. A testament to how she poured love into everything she did. But above all else, Linda’s greatest happiness came from spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Her heart overflowed with pride and affection for her grandchildren; they were truly the light of her life.
Linda’s legacy lives on through her loving daughter Alexis; her sister Francine; and her adored grandchildren Annalisia, Matteo, and Zachary. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends who will remember her warmth and unwavering loyalty.
She is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved son Adam, her mother Anna, and father John.
May Linda’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all she touched. A memorial service will be held on October 12th, 2025, from 2-6pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
