Louis J. Santore, Esq, 87 of Middletown, NJ, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Louis was born in Hoboken, NJ, and attended Memorial High School in West New York, NJ. Following high school, Louis enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country honorably. During his time in the services, he was stationed in Texas and Germany, and also toured most of Europe.
Lou received his Bachelor’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1963 and graduated from Seton Hall University Law School and passed the New Jersey Bar exam in 1968. He and his family moved to Middletown, NJ in 1970. During his extensive career of over 50 years as an Attorney at Law, he practiced in Hudson County and also had the honor of serving on a case at the U.S. Supreme Court.
He was a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Hudson County Bar Association. He was a parishioner of St. Catharine’s Church and a member of St. Andrew’s Men’s group. Lou was also a member of Bamm Hollow Country Club where he shared many wonderful memories of his family and time on the golf course. He was an avid golfer, reader, athlete, and dog lover.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and June Santore.
He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Santore (Sica); his children, Stephanie and The Honorable Charles Kenny, J.S.C., Michele and John Demaree, and Louis J. Santore Jr.; his siblings, Maryann Santore, and Georgeann Reyes; his granddaughters, Christine Kenny and Rachel Kenny.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29 th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 30th at 9:15 am at St. Catharine’s Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, NJ. A burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
