Margaret Carmella D’Ambrisi, 79, of Long Branch, passed away Friday at Monmouth Medical Center.
Margaret was born and raised in Long Branch. She was the third daughter of Frank and Aurora Rini. She became a graduate of Long Branch High School in 1962 and began her working career as a seamstress on Broadway for Robert Lewis Leathers. From here she continued her career at Abody’s Factory and later moved to Salerno’s Coat Factory. Her final place of employment was Century Sportswear. On August 6th, 1966, Margaret married the love of her life, Joseph, and the two would settle on High Street to raise their daughter Elia Luisa. She truly cherished their special times together, especially traveling!
Margaret was deeply religious, always making it to mass and praying the rosary at home. Her passion was baking, cooking and giving her specialties and treats as gifts! She enjoyed going to the pool, celebrating Holidays, and most importantly her Italian culture. Her most important role was being there for everyone around her which was always shown back to her when she needed it. Her caring and thoughtful ways were often expressed by being known to send greeting cards to all her family, friends and neighbors. These kind gestures and her humble nature will be missed by all!
Margaret is predeceased by her husband Joseph D’Ambrisi; her siblings Nicolina Aponte and Maryann Throckmorton and her husband Edward.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Elia Intrabartolo and her husband Kevin; her grandson Raymond Giuseppe Intrabartolo; her sister Aurora Schlegel and her husband Thomas; her brother-in-law Michael D’Ambrisi and his wife Anita; her nieces Rosalina, Aurora, Margie, Theresa, Gina, Deanna, Nicole, Melissa and Kristin; her nephews Edward, Teddy, Tommy, and Lance; and many loving great and great-great nieces and nephews.
