Margaret E. Trudeau, 76, of Aberdeen, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel. Born in New York City, she was raised in Manhattan before moving to Staten Island to raise her family. She has been a resident of Aberdeen for over the past 20 years.
Margaret was a Vice President of Compliance for Goldman Sachs in NYC; where she had worked for over 25 years before her retirement in 2010. She was a member of St. Benedict’s RC Church and was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. In her free time, Margaret loved to travel, especially Italy and Ireland. Two of her favorite spots to visit were the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel.
Family and friends were the biggest love in Margaret’s life. She was a devout Catholic who attended Mass every week and later in life when health issues arose, she made sure to watch Mass from home every week.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anne Murphy, and one sister, Mary Boffa who perished in the World Trade Center on 9/11. She is survived by her husband, Alan Lipnick, daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Stephen Breaton, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Theresa Trudeau, and five grandchildren, Olivia, Brendan, Peter, Victoria and Andrew. Sisters, Elizabeth Murphy and Diane Brierley, Nieces and nephews, Kristen and Michael DiLeo, Jennifer and Anthony Maiorana, and great nieces and nephews, Grace, Caroline, John, Luke, Thomas and Derek.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday, May 29, 2026, St. Benedict RC Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. Private family burial will be held at St Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
Donations in Margaret’s name may be made to the National MS Society or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
