Marie C. Karpie, 88, of Holmdel passed away Tuesday morning.

Marie was born in Long Branch and raised in Matawan. She moved from Matawan to Holmdel in 1967 with her family and lived here for 53 years. She worked for the Holmdel Board of Education as a bus driver for 25 years and was a member of the Holmdel historical society.

Marie is predeceased by her mother Mary Skorka.

Marie is survived by her husband of 69 years Daniel A. Karpie; her children Deborah Doxbeck and her husband Michael, Daniel Karpie and his wife Maggie, Susan Karpie and Michael Karpie; and her beloved granddaughter Kimberly Doxbeck.
