Marion Gagliano Kavanaugh , 84 a lifelong resident of Long Branch Passed away Thursday January 19th at the Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Mrs. Kavanaugh was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, Christ the King Parish, Long Branch and a member of the Long Branch Seniors. She retired after many years as a Secretary at Fort Monmouth. Mrs. Kavanaugh was predeceased by her husband, Morgan P. Kavanaugh in 2002. Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-laws, Phyllis and Bernard Sheerin, The Villages, Fl., Patricia and Frederick Orasia, Long Branch, Peggy and Raymond Rubman, West Long Branch and Kathleen and John Daniele, Oviedo, Fl.; her brother and sister-in-law, Former Senator Tom Gagliano and Maria Gagliano, Red Bank; her grandchildren Daniel and his wife Sheryl Sheerin, Brian Sherin, Matthew and his wife Francesca Orsaia, Frederick and his wife Amy Orsaia and Nicholas Orsaia, Allison and Frank Riley, David Rubman, Marie Daniele and her fiancé Justin Wall and Thomas Daniele; her great grandchildren, Grace, Nathan, Noah, Abigal, Samantha and Matthew, Jr. Visitation will be Monday January 23rd, 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM at Star of the Sea Church, Second and Chelsea Avenue, Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
