Marjorie J. McGuire Messler, Colts Neck, passed away Wednesday, January 24th at Riverview Medical Center.
Marjorie was born in Long Branch to Thomas and Jane McGuire. She lived her entire life in Colts Neck.
She graduated Rider University with a degree in accounting and business. Marjorie was a CPA and worked for 43 years as a Senior Contract Specialist at Fort Monmouth retiring in January 1995.
She enjoyed volunteering at Riverview Hospital and Lunch Break in Red Bank. Marjorie was a parishioner at St. Mary Church, Colts Neck her entire life where she was a member of Catholic Daughters and Martha Mary Guild. For many years she was a member of New Jersey Thoroughbred Association, where she bred and raced thoroughbred horses.
Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband Donald Messler in October, 2005 and her sister-in-law Barbara J. McGuire in March, 2009. Surviving is her brother Thomas McGuire, Colts Neck.
Visitation Monday, January 29th 3:00 – 7:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, January 30th at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
