Mary Jane Lee, 68 of Killington, Vt. Formerly of Long Branch died Thursday morning April 19, 2012 at her residence from complications of PSP. She was born on June 11, 1943 in Montclair, NJ the daughter of Peter and Mary Jane (Keane) Fava. Mrs. Lee graduated from the Rahway High School, Keene State University and earned her Masters Degree from the Monmouth University. She married Kenneth Lee on June 3, 1972 Mrs. Lee had been employed as an elementary school Teacher in Hazlet, New Jersey prior to her retirement in 1992 and relocating to Killington, VT. S Mrs. Lee was an avid skier, valued friendships, enjoyed hosting their circle of friends, traveling and shopping. Survivors include her husband of 39 years Kenneth Lee of Killington, a step daughter Debi Ianucilli and her husband Dean of Ocean, NJ, 2 step-sons Scott Lee and his wife June of Freehold, NJ and Chris Lee and his wife Dana of Ocean, NJ, a sister Catherine Giblin and her significant other Rocco Mounticello of Naples, FL, a brother Peter Fava and his wife Judy of Somerset, N J , 7 step-grandchildren Robert, Matthew, Amanda, Lexi, Lauren, Tori and Abby, nephew, Eric Fava, and a niece, Kara Fava Miletic and her husband, Nicky of Fairfield, NJ, and a great-nephew Mason Miletic.. Visitation will be Sun. April, 22nd, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral service will be Monday, April 23, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport, NJ. Contributions may be made to Cure PSP, 30 E. I was so fortunate to have Mrs. Lee as my 2nd grade teacher at Union Avenue School back in the late 70's. I remember her just the way she looks in this picture, always smiling with enthusiasm. I will never forget her "book fort" in the classroom. It had a distinct smell that til this day I sometimes smell that and think of her. She was a great teacher who left a positive impact on her students so I'm saddened to hear this news. Hope your wonderful memories of her get you through this difficult time.
