Maryann Barone, 79 of Colts Neck entered into eternal life on Monday, August 30.
Maryann was born in 1942 to the late Mary and Joseph Juliano of Red Bank, New Jersey.
She was raised in Colts Neck where she remained her entire life. Maryann attended Atlantic Elementary and graduated from Freehold Township High School in 1960.
Upon graduation, she married the love of her life, John and they started a family together.
Maryann began working first as a support aide and then later as an administrative assistant at Atlantic Elementary, and eventually Cedar Drive Middle School until her retirement in 2001. Her captivating vivacious personality was a magnetic attraction and she formed close bonds not only with the children, but also with her fellow staff and town people she met, most lasting her lifetime.
Her passion was her family and spending as much time with them as possible which included weekly Sunday dinners as well as holidays.
She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Mary’s R.C. Church for many years, often even performing in plays for the church.
Maryann is predeceased by her parents.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, John Barone, and two children Dr. Cynthia Barone and her husband Michael Mazzola of Colts Neck, and John and Julie Barone of Morganville, her brother Joseph Juliano, and two loving grandchildren Michael and Mia.
Visitation Thursday, September 2 from 4pm – 8pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, September 3 at 10am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Colts Neck. Entombment to follow at St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro.
