Maryann Vene, 83 of Manalapan died at her son’s home on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

She was born and raised in Brooklyn, she moved to Long Island then moved to Staten Island before settling in Hazlet in 2010. Maryann was a faithful parishioner of St. Benedict’s RC Church, Holmdel. She retired as an Executive Secretary for Lehman Brothers, N.Y.C.

Maryann loved cooking Italian food, especially the seven fishes for Christmas Eve, a traditional Struffoli as well as Easter pie. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world with her friends from the Cullen Group in Hazlet, which she was the president off. Maryann loved hosting family and friends.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Anthony Vene who died in 1990.

Surviving are her son’s, Nicholas and his wife Tammy Vene of Holmdel, Anthony and his wife Jade, Manalapan and her daughter, Maria Murasso of Bethlehem, Pa.; her four grandchildren, Anna, Sophia, Charley and Emily, and nephew Daniel Lombardozzi and his wife Maria and their 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Visitation, Tuesday April 15, 2025 4 to 8 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated Wednesday, April 16, 2025 11 am at St. Benedict’s RC Church, Holmdel.
