Maurice Philip Lospinoso Sr., 90, of Middletown, passed away peacefully in Red Bank after a challenging battle.
Maurice was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. He began working as an insurance appraiser in 1958. He would marry the love of his life, Arlene, in 1960 and together they celebrated 65 years of marriage. In 1970 he took ownership of George Olmezer Appraisal Service, Inc., gaining respect and builiding a positive reputation with many clients throughout the years. The family moved to Middletown in 1975, enjoying many celebrations in their beloved home of 50 years.
Butch loved to travel, he and his wife had been all around the world, later enjoying cruises. He cheered on his favorite teams the New York Yankees and loved tailgating as a season ticket holder for his beloved Giants. Playing cards, tooting out a song on a kazoo and showing off his yo-yo skills always brought smiles.
He was a devoted member of St. Catharine’s RC Church in Holmdel, serving many roles. Being an usher was a weekly highlight, serving at the annual picnic and pasta dinner was something he always looked forward to.
His love of music and singing, the scent of his cologne and the jovial way he lived his life will stay in our hearts forever.
