Melba May Blessing, 89, of Red Bank, died on Monday, February 3.
She was born in Corinto, Nicaragua to the late Eva and Patrick Blessing. Melba was a traveler. She traveled throughout Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and Panama to name a few. Melba met her husband George in Panama, where they married before moving to Venezuela. In 1969, Melba moved to the United States after the passing of her husband.
Throughout her life, she made an incredible impact through their generosity, love for animals, passion for travel, and commitment to caring for the elderly.
Melba is predeceased by her parents and her husband George Blessing.
She is survived by her son, Mario and his wife Ana Blessing of Hillside, grandchildren Karen Blessing, Eva Blessing, and Mario Blessing, and 8 great-grandchildren.
