Michael J. Barham, 64, of Vero Beach, Florida, formerly of Monmouth Beach, NJ, passed on to a greater life on August 9, 2021, surrounded by his children and loved ones. His long struggle with cancer has finally come to an end. To know Michael was to love him for his sense of humor and kindness to others.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Betty Barham, and his son Michael Jr. He is survived by his daughter Betsie of Long Branch and his son Bobby and his wife Caitlin and grandson Bennett of Wall, NJ. He is also survived by his siblings Patti Campbell of Venice, FL, T. Burt Barham and his wife Carol of Oceanport, NJ, William C. Barham of Rumson, NJ, and his twin sister Mickey Barham and her husband Ray Brubacker of Vero Beach, FL. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Scott, Jamian, Burt Jr., Joe, Monica, Allie, Leslie and Billy Jr. He will be dearly missed by all.
Michael transplanted from New Jersey to Florida in 1986 to start a new business and eventually landed in the food service business with his twin sister Mickey, named Penny Hill Subs. He made many friends at the store over the years and was a constant source of happiness to all who patronized it. Lovingly nicknamed “The Breeze,” Michael’s easy-going and fun-loving nature was matched only by his hilarious wit and comedic genius.
Visitation, Thursday, August 12, 2021, 4 to 8 PM at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, August 13, 2021, 10:30 AM at Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach, NJ. Burial to follow in Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
