Mildred Boxe, 94 of Long Branch died Friday October 21st at Monmouth Medical Center. She was born in Bayonne and had lived most of her life there before moving to Long Branch. Mildred was a private duty nurse in Bayonne from 1932 until 1969. In 1969 she received her BA degree from Jersey City State College and her teaching certificate for Practical Nursing in 1970. In 1975 she earned her Masters of Arts from Jersey City State College. Mildred retired from the Bayonne Board of Education in 1988. She was a member of the NJ Civil Defense Corp and she was active in the Girl Scouts. Surviving is her loving family, Gerard and Marianne Scalla, Oceanport; Daenna & John Rabaglia, Jonathan and Mary Ann Scala, Garielle, Kristan and Gregory Scala, Oceanport. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25th, 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM, in the chapel at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. You may light a candle of condolence by visiting www.woolleyfh.com.
