Patricia (née Howard) Morin, age 80, of Malverne, NY passed away on January 9, 2021, at Care One Nursing Home in Holmdel, NJ.
Patricia was born in Far Rockaway, NY, grew up in Manhattan and Queens, and graduated from Far Rockaway High School.
Patricia married her high school sweetheart, Thomas, in 1963. In 1981, they moved their family to Oceanside, NY for a better quality of life for their children. In 1996, the family moved to Malverne, NY.
Pat, affectionately called “Sweet Pea” by her husband and children, was a loving mother and grandmother. She spent her career working as a secretary for various small businesses. One of her favorite jobs was working for a travel agency, through which she and Tom were able to enjoy their love of international travel. Patricia had a passion for ceramics and taught classes in her home for many years.
Patricia was survived by her son, Thomas; daughter-in-law, Nancy; and granddaughters, Lindsay and Samantha.
She was predeceased by her father, Francis, who was a pilot in the RAF during WWII; her mother, Catherine; her husband of 56 years, Thomas; and her daughter, Jacqueline.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12th, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 13th, 10 am, at St. Mary’s Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY.
Per NJ COVID-19 guidelines, a limited number of guests may attend at a time, and full face protection is required by all.
In lieu of flowers, Patricia’s family is requesting that contributions be made in her memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at https://www.lbda.org/donate/
