Nancy A. Christian, 72, of Hazlet, died on Thursday, May 11th.
Nancy was born in Long Branch to the late Antoinette and William Robert Davis in 1951. She was raised in Hazlet, where she attended and graduated from Raritan High School. Nancy and her husband Frank started their family. She held many careers throughout her life, Nancy and her husband owned and operated F&N’s Subway, she worked as a substitute teacher, a CCD teacher, a realtor, and retired as a nurse from Fort Monmouth. Nancy was a devout catholic and an altruistic volunteer. She donated a lot of her time helping with St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry, and cleaning St. Ann’s Church, where she was a life-long parishioner.
Nancy was strong, positive, and had a big heart for those she loved. She enjoyed arts and crafts, baking, cooking, shopping, and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with family.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Joseph Christian, parents Antoinette and William Robert Davis, and her brother William R. Davis III.
Surviving are her children, Frank and his wife Debbie Christian of Holmdel, Theresa and her husband Donald McKinney of Hazlet, and Brian and his wife Jillian Christian of Holmdel, her brother Raymond Davis, and her sister Sally Kauffman, and her six loving grandchildren Patrick, Grace, Donnie, Alison, Katelyn, and Frankie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15 from 4 pm – 8 pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, May 16 at 10:00 am at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Red Bank.
