Sorry to hear about Aunt Norma - she was awesome. I have so many great memories of your mom - from the beach, from your house, my house, Thanksgivings, etc. I always loved going to your house, she made me feel so welcome. At times she was like a second mother to me, especially times when my mom was in the hospital. There are many memories I have of your mom but one in particular jumps to mind….I remember one time at your house when I was recovering from surgery (8th grade!) and my mom was in the hospital. You were at school or practice or something and your Dad was in the midst of some story. I was sort of a captured audience for his story telling laid up on the couch. She came out and saw that he was telling one of his stories, did her eye roll thing (I remember a lot of those in regards to your Dad’s stories!) and told him to stop bugging me, said something like, “Alden stop telling your boring stories”, etc. I started to laugh which got her laughing and it escalated from there - I ended up laughing so hard I thought I was going to rip my stitches out. I am pretty sure that your Dad still finished the story. Lol. Anyway - if there is anything I can do please let me know. My thoughts are certainly with you, Alden, your family and especially Uncle Alden. Passings are always hard, but looking back on all the good times always makes things easier. I am sure you have lots of good times to remember!

The tide recedes but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand ... The sun goes down but gentle warmth lingers on the land... The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains... For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains. Anonymous During this time of sorrow, may the joy and beauty of your mother's love for each of you, bring you comfort & peace. With deepest sympathy and love, Simone
