Nubia Saez, 77, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 18th.
Nubia was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia to the late Leticia and Miguel Torrenegra. Nubia moved to the United States in 1969 and became an American citizen in 1978. She married her husband Ramon in 1970 and they began their family in Mt. Kisco, NY, before settling in Brewster, NY where they raised their two children together.
Nubia worked in retail for over 25 years. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed cooking and could always be found in the kitchen making meals from her home country, baking breads with ingredients from the family garden or trying out a new recipe. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Nubia is survived by her son Kelvin Saez and his wife Sue of Wappingers Falls, NY and her daughter Arlene Saez-Kamdar and her husband Nish of Holmdel, NJ and her grandchildren Dillon, Connor and Devin.
