Patricia Roros, 85 of Manalapan passed away at the Chelsea at Manalapan on Thursday, January 5th.
Patricia was born in Gythion, Greece. She emigrated to the United States at 7 years old, settling in New York City with her family, where she lived until moving to Old Bridge in 1961. That same year, Patricia and her beloved husband founded their family business, Sayrewoods Floral and Event Design, Sayreville. Patricia also worked in the Administrative offices of Amerada Hess Company for many years until her retirement.
Patricia found so much joy in having her cats around her, traveling to the Islands, and visiting family and friends in Greece. She was a fan of Atlantic City, playing bingo and mahjong. She enjoyed reading mysteries. A member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Perth Amboy, she loved Greek dancing and playing cards with her family and friends. Patricia adored spending time with her children and grandchildren, who will miss her smile and vibrant personality.
Patricia was pre-deceased by her husband and love of her life, Gus Roros in 1983, and her son James G. Roros, MD, who died on October 17, 2022.
Surviving are her two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis and Karin Roros, Colts Neck, John and Cindy Roros, Branchburg and Beth Roros, Lewes, De.; her grandchildren, Eva, Eleni, Vassi, Costa, Nicholas, John and his wife Julie and Brittany and her husband Mark, her brother Nicholas Cofinas and her beloved companion Koukla, her admired cat.
Visitation, Thursday, January 12th, 10 am until the time of the funeral mass at 11 am, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 41- 47 Wisteria St. and Sadowski Parkway, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at Cloverleaf Cemetery, Iselin.
