Marlene Rios left a message on February 10, 2022:
I lack the words to express my grief through the tears that flow from my eyes over the passing on such a phenomenal man, Mr. DeCenzo. Mr. D was my boss, a dear friend & a father figure. I will remain forever grateful to God for the lifetime opportunity to have known such a great individual full of life, laughter, love and so much passion for the self-taught talent he possessed. I will miss all the funny stories, the way he would admonish the employees on safety, cleanliness and performing their duties. This man at the age of 81 years old was still running around like a teenager, climbing on top of structures, rolling up his sleeves and working side by side sorting, processing & upgrading the metals at Brick Recycling. He was still building and doing construction with many of his long time customers. Perfection is an understatement describing his work ethics. He loved his wife immensely more than he did himself. Mrs. Santa DeCenzo was his world, along with his two children and four grandchildren. Mr. D has definitely left an indelible mark in my life and I will forever miss him! He has created so many beautiful memories, a life that we can all truly celebrate even as we grieve. My sincere condolences, deepest sympathies and unending love to Mrs. DeCenzo, Peter DeCenzo III , Mary DeCenzo-Hazan and the entire family! Mr. D as you climb the stairs to Heaven, and God embraces you in his arms, may you forever rest in peace! LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!! xoxo

Peter DeCenzo - “One of the good Guys.” A man I worked with for on and off for 40 years with usually a smile and a handshake. I never forget the guys who pay their bills. Pete Stagaard, President (retired) Masteecraft Iron Co.
