Peter J. Chiasera, 85, formerly of Staten Island, NY passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, NY Peter lived in Staten Island and Toms River prior to moving to Lincroft. Mr. Chiasera was a Teacher and Assistant Principal at McKee High School in Staten Island for over 30 years. He was also a Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Chiasera was predeceased by his wife Patricia Chiasera. Surviving are his children Peter Chiasera and his wife Kristine, Marie Marcolla and her husband John, and Gerylann Percello and her husband Tom, and his 6 grandchildren Steven and Patrice Marcolla, Morgan and Ryan Chiasera, and Stephanie and Natalie Percello. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 to 5:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral Service will be offered in the funeral home on Saturday at 4:30PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mr. Chiasera's name to Meridian Hospice, Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations, 1345 Campus Parkway, Suite A2, Neptune, NJ 07753
