Peter Sinacore, 73, of Ocean Township , passed away at Jersey Shore Medical Center on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Peter was born and raised in Jersey City and was a graduate of Snyder High School. He was an avid high school basketball player and also enjoyed playing and hanging with his crew at St. Paul’s courtyard. Following high school he joined the Jersey City Police Department where he retired as Lieutenant in 2009.
Peter married the love of his life, Bonnie Kennedy, in 1982 and they began their life together in Jersey City. In 1985 they moved to Bradley Beach then Shrewsbury to raise their family. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, had a love for animals, which included his many cats, dogs, birds, and even 1 monkey.
He was the go to man for anything his friends or family could ever possibly need. Whether it be with his tool belt or his extraordinary quick wit he always got the job done.
Peter is predeceased by his parents Paul and Alma Sinacore; his son Jason; and his siblings Marie Rosa, Rafaella Myskowski, Marianne Ryan, and Joseph Sinacore. Peter is survived by his loving wife Bonnie; his children Kristen Flaherty and her husband David of Little Silver, Jamie Placca and her husband Chris of Holmdel, Ryan Sinacore and his wife Beth of Lincroft; his siblings Paul Sinacore and Carmela Sinacore. Anyone who spoke to Pete knew that his pride and joy were his 9 grandchildren who he affectionately referred to as his muppets; Dylan (Monkeyman), Grace (Angelpuss), Logan (Linebacker), Kyle (Pudge), Reese (Toughie), Luke (Musicman), Aidan (Mr. Happy), Connor (Nunzio) and Keira (Boss Lady). He will be forever missed by his loving family and friends
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 12th from 1:00-5:00pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Rd., Holmdel, NJ 07733. A service will be offered January 13th at the Funeral Home at 10:30am.
