Peter Stanley Ciszak, 73, of Point Pleasant, died on Monday, June 23.
He was born in Carteret to the late Florence and Stanley Ciszak, where he was raised. Peter attended and graduated from Rutgers Prep School and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University. From an early age, he worked for his family business, Ciszak Plumbing Inc., and continued to work there until he retired. He raised his family in Holmdel, later moved to Brick, and finally settled in Pt. Pleasant.
Peter enjoyed being a lifeguard in his younger years at Point Pleasant Beach and later was a soccer coach for the Holmdel Township Stallions travel soccer team. Peter also enjoyed boating, water and snow skiing, horseback riding, soccer, and American history, specifically the American Revolution through WWII. Most of all, Peter loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Surviving are his sons, David Ciszak of Bayville, and Kevin Ciszak and his wife Jodi Ciszak of Wall, his brother Paul Ciszak, his beloved granddaughter, Emilia Ciszak, and his former wife, Joanne Ciszak.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27 from 9am – 10am at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 am at the Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery & Mausoleum, Holmdel.
