Philip S. Famulary, 85, Long Branch, passed away Sunday, November 26th at Monmouth Medical Center.
Philip was born in Red Bank but lived most of his life in Long Branch. He graduated from Long Branch High School, as class president, and also attended Brookdale Community College and the University of Colorado. Philip served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956 as a medic in the air rescue division. For twenty-five years he worked as Director of Security for Monmouth Medical Center and then twenty years in security for Shore Regional High School.
Philip was an avid Giants and Mets fan. He always gave anyone he knew a big hello with an even bigger smile. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.
Philip is survived by his wife, Debora; his children Lucille Famulary, Long Branch, Nicholas Famulary, Toms River and Dina Mattia & her husband Richard, Middletown; his step children Loren Zasadowski, Louis Zasadowski & his wife Bethany and Lee Zasadowski & his wife Kayla; his grandchildren Daniela Benedictis, Drew Mattia, Madison and Mia Zasadowski and his beloved three year old rescued dog Colo.
