Philip Urban passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022. He was just 20 years old. Philip Urban a loving grandson, son, older brother, and friend to so many. Cherished by family and friends, he had a lasting effect on everyone he met. He left a mark on his community spreading happiness and his quick wit. A dedicated teammate playing for the New Jersey Panthers boys basketball team and played for The Pennington School where he was given the opportunity to play for the Post University Basketball team on a scholarship. His optimism spread to those who surrounded him and quickly became known as a genuine and loving familiar face. To his family, he was loved unconditionally and will miss his contagious smile. Fly high beautiful butterfly.

Phil’s memory will live on through all those whose lives he’s touched, especially, his loving parents, Ewa and Adam, and his younger sister Gaby; his grandparents, Lucyna and Janusz Urban, Andrzej Krakowian, Danuta Dembinska, his godparents Joanna Milata and Krzysztof Kania, his aunt Ewa Michalska, and his cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 22^nd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, December 23^rd at 11:00 am in St. Gabriel’s RC Church, 100 North Main Street, Marlboro. Burial will follow at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.

We developed a special bond and had many talks about his path in life. I missed him when he left MDP but knew he was pursuing his dream of playing basketball. That was his life.
