Raf you will definitely be missed. We didn't talk everyday or every month but when we did talk it was like we did talk everyday. You were one of the funniest guys I knew. You always knew how to make everyone laugh. You were definitely one of a kind. Wish we could go back to the days where we all hung out on my front stoop because I couldn't go anywhere else because of ny curfew lol.

My deepest condolences to Rafael’s family during this incredibly difficult time. I had the privilege of working with Rafael as a fellow registered nurse, first at Richmond University Medical Center about a decade ago, and again more recently at Hamaspik Choice. He was a truly beautiful soul—compassionate, responsible, and a wonderful friend. His dedication to his patients was evident in everything he did. Rafael spoke often and with great pride about his son, and it was clear to everyone around him what a devoted and caring father he was. He will be remembered for his kindness and his spirit. He made a difference in many lives, including mine. May he rest in peace.

Rafael, you and your presence here with me in the office always put a smile on my face. You'd walk in and I'd ask, "How are you doing this morning?", and you'd reply, "Just peachy!" It got to a point that I'd just say the same as you...until you got the hint and started to say something else silly LOL. You were like a brother to me. Your leadership, your friendship, your mentorship, the talks we had regarding my continuing education and questions I had with certain situations in the medical field, you were very bright, and you never got tired of my questions. You always bothered me with the "Yo bro!!!" every time you knew it bothered me, but I knew it was all in love. If only you could say it just once more...but you're flying high now. We loved you, but God loved you more. I'm going to miss you deeply. There will never be another RN that could replace you here in podiatry. God bless the family always and you all will be in my prayers.

Rafael, there are many wonderful memories I have of us working together. You became a cherished friend of mine, as well. You were a fantastic mentor and exemplary nurse. And what remains with me is how real and honest you were with everyone. Your wit and humor were also unmatched! I am thankful for having crossed paths with you, Raf. From both me and my family, may you rest in peace.
