Mrs. Raffaelle 'Rae' Bailis passed away at home on Thursday, October 9th, 2014. Born in Newark, N.J. Mrs. Bailis was a resident of Holmdel. She was formerly employed in the Billing Department at PSE&G in Newark years ago. She is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Bailis. A service will be held at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum on Monday, October 13th, 2014 at 11:00 A. M.

I met Rae & Joseph in A&P in Holmdel a few years ago and we ended up in a conversation about baking. Rae took the time to mail me a bunch of her favorite cake recipes (like her Cream Cheese Pound Cake!) that I just came across in my drawer. I decided to look her up and came across this obituary. I'm very sad to hear of her passing because I could tell what a special lady she was. I will always remember her when I bake! I'm sure she's been lighting up Heaven with her charm & tasty treats! xoxo
