Richard C. King, age 96, of Freehold, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at his home.
He was born in Roselle Park on October 9, 1929 to Aubrey and Ida (née Nash) King. After marrying his wife, Connie, on September, 26, 1953, he raised his family in Colonia, before settling in Marlboro. He enjoyed owning his own electrical business, the King Company, and was proud of his work. He remained in Marlboro for 50 years, before settling in Freehold in 2018.
Richard is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie; a son, Todd King; a daughter, Daryl King; his brother, Jack King; and a great-granddaughter, Victoria.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna McCue and her husband Tim; son Tyler King, and his partner Jennifer Kalonigiannis; a great-grandson who was more like a son to him, Dennis Pease; eight grandchildren, Erin, Ryan and his wife Katelyn, Tara and her husband Jason, Kerry, Kristin, Todd II, Keelan, and Nicholas; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Arrangements under the direction of Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a later date determined by the family.
