Jim Viola left a message on March 9, 2025:
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Solomon, Barry, Steven and extended family, I am very sorry to hear about Robby. I had no idea. I remember Robby as an avid Mets fan, like myself, and our fun softball games at P.S. 279 in Canarsie. He always wanted to be the pitcher which I see he followed through with. Many blessings to the family. With Sympathy, Jim Viola 201 390 2428

I'm so sorry for this loss. My deepest condolences.. He was a friendly and great guy to know. I enjoyed coaching baseball with him. Although we were somewhat acquainted in college, I really got to know him by being part of Ocean Township. He'll be missed. Just know, however, he does live on in all who knew him.

I had the pleasure of working with Rob during my summers as an athletic supervisor at Ivy League Day Camp. His demeanor with kids was exceptional, and he was dependable, conscientious and the consummate professional. I considered Rob a good friend for many years and we continued to exchange texts even after his illness. He was a credit to education and to coaching. My condolences to Judy, Alex and Carly during this difficult time.
