Robert Jankowski, 48, of Holmdel passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family. Born in Jersey City, Robert lived in Irvington prior to moving to Holmdel 11 years ago. Robert received his bachelors degree from N.J.I.T and worked as a Supervisor for Commercial Sales with Optimum Business in Tinton Falls, NJ. Robert loved golfing, fishing and visiting Wildwood Crest, but what he loved the most was being with his family and friends. Surviving are his wife Sharon Jankowski, parents Chester and Ida Jankowski, brother Thomas Jankowski, sister Karen O’Brien and her husband John, niece Alexa O’Brien and nephew Mark O’Brien. Visitation will be held Saturday and Sunday 1:00 to 5:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral Mass will be offered Monday 9:15AM at St. Catharine’s R.C. Church, Holmdel. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers, please make donations in Robert’s name to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Resaerch 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714
