Robert Thomas Pras, 84, of Colts Neck, died on Monday, June 22.
Robert was born in Newark to the late Helen and Leon Pras. He was raised in Mendham, then moved to Hillsboro, where he married and started his family, and served as Chief of Police and Mayor of that town. They later moved to Potomac, MD, where they continued to raise their family. In the early 2000’s, he moved to a farm in Colts Neck, where he has resided since. He worked for Marriott Corporation for several years as an executive before retiring.
Robert loved horses. From working around the farm with them to taking them out to horse shows nationwide. He was very well traveled and loved the outdoors. Robert often went out hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family.
He is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Constance Pras, his son, Douglas Pras, and his two brothers, Leon and David Pras.
Robert is survived by his two children Andrew and his wife Raquel Pras of Aberdeen, and Allison Pras of Colts Neck, his sister, Catherine Kirby, his granddaughter, Alexandra; and his beloved labradors, Teddy and Bailey.
In accordance with Robert’s wishes, all funeral arrangements will be privately held.
